The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of
California, Riverside invites applications for one faculty position at all
levels with research interests in Embedded Systems and Computer
Engineering. Exceptional candidates with research interests in Computer
Graphics and Computational Science & Engineering are also invited to
apply. Tenured and tenure-track positions require a Ph.D. in Computer
Science (or in a closely related field) at the time of employment. Senior
candidates must have an exceptional research, teaching, and graduate
student mentorship record. Junior candidates must show outstanding
research, teaching and graduate student mentorship potential. Salary level
will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers B.S. degrees in
Computer Science, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, and M.S. and
Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science. The department currently has 24 faculty
members that include seven ACM/IEEE/AAAS Fellows, and eight Young
Investigator/CAREER award holders. The department has over 120 Ph.D. and
25 M.S. students enrolled in the 2008-09 academic year, and receives about
$3.5M of research funding per year. More information is available at
