The UCR team --- Aditya Acharya, Eric Ong, John Shin, and William Shiao --- progressed through two grueling rounds of full day hacks on November 1 and 8. Sponsored by GEICO, the Hacktivates competition included other universities specifically selected from around the country. The UCR team won the grand prize of $3400 or $850 per team member.
