Who would have thought that hackers will share their malware code publicly? A new project by Prof. Faloutsos and his team (PhDs Darki, Rokon, Islam, Masud and Treves) promises to provide an unprecedented massive database of available malware source code from public repositories such as GitHub. The project is funded by NSF SaTC, and has already provided promising results.
