Prof. Jiasi Chen and Prof. Nael Abu-Ghazaleh have received funding from Facebook Research, on the topic of "Location tampering in multi-user augmented reality: attacks and defenses". The project looks at ways of tampering with augmented reality's location estimates, leading to breakdowns in app functionality and hurting user experience, and also proposes defenses against such attacks.
